Magnetic Island has accommodations ranging from budget to luxury, everyone can take a trip to Magnetic Island. Over half of the island is National Park and offers visitors a wonderful place to relax and enjoy what Australia has to offer.

Magnetic Island can be found in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. With warm, shallow waters, visitors will find perfect areas for swimming or snorkeling. Guests can also enjoy seeing the coral reefs and sea life on Magnetic Island.

Magnetic Island offers a number of beaches with easy access. Many are well lit to provide night usage as well. They also have bays and coves that offer accommodation for diving if guests choose.

The many shipwreck sites are also exciting for guests to tour. The most famous wreck is that of the Yongala. It is considered the best wreck dive in Australia and one of the top five in the world. While the ship wrecked in 1911 during a cyclone, the site was not found until the 1950s. This offers a unique experience for experienced divers!

While there are great experiences for experienced divers, there are also reasons for learning divers. Magnetic Island boasts the most affordable diving courses in Australia. With qualified and certified instructors, guests will get more than their money’s worth.
