Wedge Island is located just off the South Australian coast.

Wedge Island is a small privately owned island located south west of Thistle Island, the island is located in southern tips of the Eyre and Yorke Peninsulas Wedge Island was settled approximately in 1850, it was used to breed horses. In 1911 a lighthouse was built on the island, the lighthouse flashed every 3 seconds, in the 70's a concrete lighthouse was built. The lighthouse is the highest point on the island.

Wedge Island is not permanently inhabited, the island is used for holiday accommodation, it has an airfield and a jetty, offshore recreational fishing and dive trips are organized from the island
